The Education Double Degree (DD) program at the College of Education offers undergraduate students at OSU a dual-degree pathway into teaching. This program allows participants to simultaneously complete degrees in both their primary field of study and in Education (earning either a BA or BS), while also qualifying for an Oregon teaching license in their chosen specialization. The Education degree follows Academic Regulation 26a as a concurrent degree program.
The DD program unfolds in two phases. The initial Level I: Pre-Education stage covers fundamental education coursework that doubles as prerequisites for Level II: Professional Education. These introductory courses also fulfill general education and elective requirements for students' primary degrees. Before advancing to Level II, students must successfully finish all Level I coursework, pass necessary examinations, and satisfy additional admission criteria. Complete program details and application procedures are available on the Education Double Degree website.
