The BioHealth Sciences (BHS) bachelor's program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum blending life sciences, public health, and social sciences. This degree features a robust core curriculum with extensive training in biological and physical sciences, complemented by diverse health and social science coursework. The BHS program equips graduates for bachelor's-level careers in healthcare administration, human services, technical roles, and supports career advancement for current health professionals.
Students can choose to pursue transcript-recognized specializations in Pre-Clinical Laboratory Science, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Medicine/Pre-Podiatry, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapy, or Pre-Physician Assistant. While optional, these tracks provide exceptional preparation for professional programs. Specializations require extra credits beyond standard BHS requirements and include courses not available through Ecampus, necessitating in-person attendance at OSU or transfer credits. Most full-time students can fulfill both BHS degree requirements and specialization coursework within four years.
