The Education Double Degree (DD) program at the College of Education offers undergraduate students at OSU a dual-degree pathway into teaching. This program allows participants to simultaneously complete degrees in both their primary field of study and in Education (earning either a BA or BS), while also qualifying for an Oregon teaching license in their chosen specialization. The Education degree follows Academic Regulation 26a for concurrent degrees.
The DD program involves two phases. Phase I: Pre-Education includes introductory coursework that fulfills both core curriculum requirements and elective credits for students' primary degree while preparing them for Phase II: Professional Education. Before advancing to Phase II, students must finish all Phase I coursework, pass necessary examinations, and satisfy additional admission criteria. Detailed program specifications and application procedures are available on the Education Double Degree website.
