ODU's Graduate Program in International Studies (GPIS) has established multiple connections with the Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center. Students can obtain the M&S in international studies certificate through various pathways, with course selections made in collaboration with the M&S track advisor. Within social sciences and especially international studies, modeling and simulation manifests in diverse approaches such as statistical models, formal modeling/game theory, agent-based simulations, geographic/spatial modeling, network analysis, and event simulation scenarios.
