The Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology specialization within ODU's Psychology Ph.D. program adopts the scientist-practitioner approach, blending psychological principles with behavioral science. Faculty in the IO Psychology doctoral program possess deep knowledge in areas like leadership dynamics, organizational culture, employee retention, workplace attitudes, personality traits (including the Big Five), HR development, work-life balance, occupational safety, and diversity in the workplace.
