Students who graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education will qualify for recommendation to obtain the necessary certification to teach music in public schools.

Specializations are offered in either vocal or instrumental music instruction for PreK-12 grade levels. Those who finish the accredited teacher training program (including the Teacher Candidate Internship) can apply for Virginia's teaching license, recognized across 47 states through reciprocity agreements.

Admission to all levels of University study is contingent upon successful completion of English language proficiency requirements.
