The Theatre Major is designed for students passionate about all facets of theater arts, including performance, production, and design. Ideal for aspiring directors, producers, or dramaturgs, this program provides comprehensive training in theatrical theory and practice. Performance-focused applicants should demonstrate artistic courage, collaborative spirit, and leadership potential within ODU's theater program. Participants in the performance track will perform with ODURep while completing an intensive course curriculum. Advanced students may qualify for professional internships with Norfolk's Virginia Stage Company, an Equity-affiliated organization.
