The geography department provides both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree options. This program aims to deliver comprehensive geographical education, fostering an awareness of human-environment interactions while allowing specialization in three key areas: urban planning with emergency/hazards management, environmental studies and resource management, and geographical information systems (exclusive to the B.S. track). High-achieving students can benefit from the combined B.A./B.S. in geography and M.A. in humanities program, which permits applying up to 12 graduate course credits toward both undergraduate and graduate degree requirements.
