Our turfgrass management undergraduate studies are enhanced by an extensive graduate specialization in turfgrass science. The program provides diverse research opportunities spanning from cellular-level laboratory investigations to practical field applications, including turf maintenance, landscape performance evaluation, cultivar assessment, water conservation strategies, and reuse systems for sports fields, recreational areas, and residential lawns. OSU's turfgrass research team has pioneered numerous cultivar releases and consistently assesses promising genetic material for future developments. Graduates from our program play vital roles in advancing new OSU turfgrass varieties used across professional sports venues, collegiate fields, golf courses, and residential landscapes.
