The Master of Science in Design and Merchandising with a Digital Design specialization immerses students in theoretical concepts, methodologies, and critical media practices involving computational and interactive design. Through intensive creative projects and research initiatives, this program equips graduates for either doctoral studies or professional careers. Students collaborate with OSU's pioneering faculty, utilizing advanced technologies to craft interactive storytelling experiences while conducting innovative design research.
Our industry-focused hybrid curriculum blends online and in-person instruction, delivered by nationally acclaimed faculty in state-of-the-art design studios and VR labs. The 30-credit master's program offers both traditional research thesis and creative thesis pathways, with the latter emphasizing experimental design processes. An accelerated 4+1 option enables students to obtain both bachelor's and master's degrees within five years.
