Our department provides two Master of Arts programs. The Peace, Conflict and Security Studies program equips students for roles in intelligence, diplomacy, or global development, while the Politics and Policy Studies program caters to those focused on U.S. government systems or careers in public service and policy evaluation. All students, regardless of their chosen specialization, develop expertise in research methodologies, analytical reasoning, and critical assessment through a blend of mandatory courses and research-focused components.

You will need to submit scanned copies of the following materials
Official undergraduate transcripts
A 1-2 page personal statement that outlines why you are interested in the program and what you hope to achieve with the help of a Master of Arts degree in political science
GRE scores The department does not currently have a minimum GRE requirement Evaluation of GRE scores will be conducted along with the rest of an applications academic record However the normal benchmark for an unrestricted ie nonprobationary admission is a 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA This may be tempered by additional considerations such as performance in political science and other closely related courses number and scope of undergraduate courses taken etc
The email addresses of three individuals willing to write you a letter of recommendation with preference given to faculty who are familiar with your academic work and record
Holders of baccalaureate or first professional degrees from colleges and universities of recognized standing are eligible to seek admission to the Graduate College
The graduate program you are applying to may require two to four letters of recommendation.
TOEFL 79 internet-based 550 paper-based.
