The Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum Studies is an interdisciplinary program focusing on broad curriculum challenges spanning various disciplines. Our three specialization tracks equip graduates for diverse roles including curriculum generalists, research specialists, university professors, teacher trainers, K-20 instructional leaders, curriculum administrators, program designers, educational evaluators, instructional material developers, and leaders in sociocultural educational organizations.
This doctoral degree mandates completion of at least 63 credit hours, encompassing core courses, research methodology, specialization electives, cognate studies, and independent research projects. Students can select from three distinct program pathways.
This specialization fosters educators who demonstrate self-awareness, profound comprehension, and the ability to generate and apply knowledge to serve local, national, and global communities. Graduates emerge prepared to serve as K-12 curriculum specialists, educational researchers, teacher educators, or versatile curriculum experts for all academic levels.
