Oakland University's bachelor's program in exercise science expands upon our renowned master's-level offerings in this field. Designed to address the surging demand for exercise science professionals, this undergraduate major prepares students for either graduate studies or direct entry into the workforce. As an exercise science student at Oakland, you'll receive an intensive education examining the connections between physical fitness, disease prevention, stress reduction, nutrition, and holistic wellness. The program offers both a pre-physical therapy track and a specialization in orthotic/prosthetic assistant training. Through our curriculum, you'll acquire practical clinical skills and research opportunities, establishing a strong base for careers in physical therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, athletic training, health promotion, or similar fields.
