The Mechanical Engineering Department provides optional specializations or concentrations in Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing, Energy, and Electrified Propulsion for students seeking to expand their expertise in a particular mechanical engineering field and desiring a focused area within their degree. These specializations are exclusively available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program. The course sequences outlined for each specialization fulfill the professional electives requirement. Please be aware that earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization might necessitate completing more than 128 credits. Students are limited to one specialization or concentration, which must be finished as part of their degree program. The specialization will be recorded on the student's transcript.
