For those with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in healthcare, our applied health sciences program offers a cost-effective, flexible route to earn your bachelor's degree and pursue further education. Transfer up to 65 credits from an accredited community college and finish your applied health sciences degree at Oakland University in approximately two years. A Bachelor of Science in Applied Health opens doors to more advanced positions with increased earning potential and career growth compared to an AAS. This program also serves as a stepping stone to graduate studies, medical school, physician assistant programs, or other professional degrees. Tailored for students with AAS degrees in fields like Dental Assisting, Health Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Occupational Therapy Assisting, Pharmacy Technology, Physical Therapy Assisting, Respiratory Therapy, or Surgical Technology, our program welcomes other AAS graduates with department chair approval. Experience the best of both worlds—access to a major university's resources while receiving individualized support typically found at smaller institutions. Benefit from cutting-edge facilities, research opportunities, and specialized technology under expert faculty guidance.
