This is an excellent chance to network with fellow respiratory therapists and potential students while gaining insights into our academic offerings, course structure, financial details, and additional prospects.
You could play a vital role in restoring patients' breathing. Respiratory therapists are essential healthcare professionals trained to evaluate, identify, and care for individuals with breathing challenges. Their expertise spans managing chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma to responding to urgent cases requiring life support systems. The respiratory care sector is an expanding medical field offering both professional fulfillment and personal satisfaction. At Nova Southeastern University, our foundational Respiratory Therapy program teaches core concepts including respiratory treatment, heart-lung functions, and specialized disciplines. Students train in advanced simulation labs featuring identical ventilators and medical devices used nationwide in hospitals. Our 10-bed ICU simulation space with video capabilities readies you for high-stakes scenarios—you'll encounter realistic hospital crises in these training environments without instructor supervision. You'll develop emergency response skills before working with actual patients.
