The one-year Master of Science (MS) in Biostatistics equips students with advanced training to design, oversee, and conduct health research while developing expertise in health data analysis. This program uniquely balances rigorous statistical methods with practical programming competencies. Students can pursue it as an intensive four-quarter full-time course or an extended eight-quarter part-time option. A key requirement involves completing a thesis project under the guidance of biostatistics faculty and Feinberg School of Medicine researchers.
All applicants must:
A baccalaureate or professional degree awarded no later than June 21, 2020.
Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
GRE Verbal Reasoning score at or above the 40th percentile and GRE Quantitative Reasoning score at or above the 60th percentile. Test results should not be more than five years old.
For the TOEFL, you must score 600 or higher on the paper-based test, 250 or higher on the computer-based test or 100 or higher on the internet-based test. For the IELTS, you must receive a score of 7.0 or higher.
