Kellogg's finance program equips you with fundamental knowledge and practical skills applicable to diverse career paths and personal investment strategies. While many finance majors aim for financial careers, opportunities span from investment roles (managing assets for institutions or family offices, real estate investments, private wealth advisory) to corporate finance positions (chief financial officer, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate restructuring). Some students choose finance as a major while pursuing other fields like consulting, entrepreneurship, or product management.
The program starts by establishing core financial principles and analytical frameworks through Finance I and II (or Accelerated Corporate Finance). Advanced coursework then lets you specialize, honing your ability to apply these concepts to intricate, real-world scenarios. Additionally, the department provides hands-on learning opportunities through experiential courses that extend beyond traditional classroom settings.
