It also equips us with skills to analyze intricate event sequences and articulate our insights through precise language and writing, employing facts and storytelling to support our perspectives. History graduates pursue diverse career paths including law, healthcare, business, government, creative industries, academia, and beyond.
Our bachelor's program now features a specialization in global history alongside existing focus areas covering the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Secondary school record
Northwestern accepts results from both the TOEFL and the IELTS.
There is no minimum score required by Northwestern. Competitive applicants demonstrate a high level of English proficiency and often score in the high range on all four sections (Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing) of the TOEFL iBT, or receive IELTS band scores in highest three bands on the overall and individual scores (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking).
