Northwest's Political Science program equips graduates with diverse career prospects in both public and private sectors, spanning government roles at all levels, legal fields, justice systems, urban planning, education, non-profit leadership, electoral processes, policy evaluation, and international relations. The program offers three specialized tracks: Criminal Justice (examining lawmaking bodies, law enforcement, judicial systems, and rehabilitation), Public Administration (concentrating on organizational decision-making and careers in governmental bodies), and Global Affairs (analyzing worldwide developments and fostering cross-cultural competencies). This flexible, non-comprehensive major enables students to pair their studies with complementary minors, creating tailored expertise for future public or private sector careers.
