The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program aligns with Northern Kentucky University's mission to develop students into engaged professionals ready for career success. The MAcc offers four specialized tracks. First, the Professional track enables graduates from accredited institutions who've completed prerequisite courses with a C grade or higher to fulfill the 150-credit CPA exam requirement, which includes holding a bachelor's degree. Second, the Accounting Practice and Reporting track serves students without prior accounting degrees who want to enter the accounting field. Third, the Expedited MAcc option allows current accounting undergraduates to start their graduate studies early. Fourth, the Data Analytics/Data Visualization track mirrors the Professional track's structure but focuses on emerging industry needs. This 30-credit program includes ten courses, with three dedicated to data analytics and visualization, equipping graduates with both accounting expertise and highly sought-after technical skills.

Qualification Requirements
Students are required to take the GMAT or GRE if their transcripts do not show evidence of successful completion of quantitative courses. Although scores make up only one factor in the admissions process, it is anticipated that successful applicants will have a minimum overall score of 520 on the GMAT (comparable GRE scores will also be considered).
To enter the Expedited MAcc concentration, undergraduate BSBA students at NKU who have completed ACC 200 may be invited to apply. Students applying to the MAcc 4+1 Track must submit the following:

In addition, Expedited MAcc applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and must have completed at least 15 credit hours at NKU. GMAT and application fee are waived.

Alternatively, students who have completed their 4-year bachelor's degree in the U.S. can meet this requirement. Conditional Acceptance - If you do not meet Northern Kentucky University's English proficiency requirement, both Computer Information Technology and Computer Science offer a conditional admission option. Students who are otherwise qualified for this program can be granted conditional admission, pending completion of the American English Language Program. TOEFL - 79 IBT or 550 PBT, IELTS - 6.5 band
