The school business management program equips you with essential expertise to excel as a high-ranking school business professional, financial officer, or administrator. By emphasizing hands-on internships and practical field experience, you'll enhance your academic studies while developing the leadership abilities and educational qualifications needed to thrive as a chief school business official across K-12 or higher education systems. This 39-credit program is designed to train individuals for school business management roles. With guidance from an advisor, students will customize their curriculum, incorporating coursework, internships, and field experiences specifically tailored to school business operations in elementary, secondary, or collegiate settings. No teaching license is required for admission. Graduates earning the M.S.Ed. in school business management will fulfill the academic prerequisites for the chief school business official endorsement on Illinois' Type 75 Administrative License. The program's adaptable structure allows elective courses to count toward meeting the basic educational standards for the general administrative endorsement.
