Our anthropology program offers an in-depth exploration of human studies across time, from ancient civilizations to contemporary societies. You'll participate in research initiatives and be taught by our distinguished faculty members, whose groundbreaking work has gained international recognition in archaeology, linguistic anthropology, biological anthropology, and cultural anthropology. Collaborate with professors on fieldwork in diverse locations including Madagascar, Cambodia, Kenya, and Italy. The Pick Museum of Anthropology, home to more than 12,000 archaeological and cultural artifacts, provides valuable hands-on opportunities in museum operations. Additionally, the museum preserves an extensive collection of archaeological finds primarily from Illinois and neighboring regions.
