This program awards both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Economics. Interested students should notify the Economics Department of their intent to pursue the B.S. degree with the calculus track (completing MATH 229, MATH 230, and STAT 350). The ideal time to declare participation is during junior year, after completing or while enrolled in ECON 360, ECON 361, and ECON 390. The Economics Department provides two distinct degree paths. The B.A. program emphasizes developing an intuitive grasp of how economic incentives influence societal structures and vice versa. The B.S. program builds on this foundation while focusing more intensively on statistical and quantitative techniques for analyzing human behavior, especially within governmental and corporate contexts.
