This accelerated program enables biomedical engineering undergraduates to earn both a B.S. in biomedical engineering and an M.S. in electrical engineering, available to those who have completed at least 90 semester hours with a minimum 3.00 GPA, which must be maintained throughout their studies. Electrical engineering as a profession requires collaboration with experts in related fields to accomplish shared objectives, with design being a core component integrated across the curriculum. This design focus is reinforced by principles of reliability, maintainability, and product value. Students are urged to address key technical challenges while considering logistical, ethical, and social impacts, with a strong emphasis on the safety of people and property embedded in the electrical engineering coursework. Through this program, students can enroll in M.S. courses up to three semesters before completing their B.S. degree and apply up to 18 semester hours toward both degrees. GRE scores are not required, but applicants must adhere to Graduate School deadlines. Prospective students should consult an adviser early and are advised to apply in the spring of their junior year.
