This accelerated program results in earning either a B.S. or B.A. in sociology alongside a J.D. degree. Interested students must declare their intent to pursue the 3+3 program with the Sociology Department. Available to all sociology undergraduates, participants must complete at least 90 credit hours of coursework, fulfilling all sociology degree requirements (B.A. or B.S.) and general education prerequisites while maintaining a minimum 3.25 GPA. Qualified juniors meeting these criteria in their sociology degree can apply to NIU's College of Law through this special program. Law school applications must be submitted by February 15 of the junior year, with LSAT exams taken no later than February of that same year. Applicants must achieve scores exceeding the 50th percentile of the prior year's admitted law students.
