The Environmental Economics Certificate enhances individuals' quantitative analysis capabilities. Graduates will gain the ability to evaluate societal tradeoffs in resource allocation for decision and policy formulation. These versatile skills empower students to improve analytical rigor and judgment within their fields when assessing initiatives or regulations. Those pursuing the Environmental Economics Certificate will engage in cross-disciplinary learning, developing proficiency in weighing alternatives during decision processes while advancing their quantitative evaluation skills. The program integrates economic reasoning into students' primary fields of study through three foundational economics courses (ECO 284, ECO 301, and ECO 324) plus two economics electives.

We require a minimum 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) for first year and transfer students.
Transfer students who have earned 24 or more credits at an American post-secondary institution only need to submit that transcript as part of their application. A high school transcript is not required.
NAU accepts transcript evaluations from members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) as part of the evaluation process. However, the result of a transcript evaluation does not guarantee that transfer credits will be awarded. All transcripts from post-secondary institutions in Nigeria must be evaluated from members of the NACES services. IELTS 6, TOEFL - 70 iBT and iBT Home Edition.
