This program equips neonatal nurse practitioners with specialized skills to treat high-risk infants affected by low birth weight, prematurity complications, cardiac defects, infections, chronic health problems, or other conditions impacting newborns. Neonates refer to babies under four weeks of age, though NNPs may provide care for children through age two.
Prospective students must complete a minimum of two years' full-time nursing in a level 3 or higher NICU prior to enrolling in our MS program. Your existing RN credentials demonstrate substantial nursing expertise. The neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) master's program concentrates on advanced clinical training and specialized medical knowledge.
