The School of Law provides a range of globally-oriented, adaptable LLM programs designed to meet diverse professional needs. From gaining insights into the US legal framework to collaborating with American attorneys, specializing in specific legal domains, or preparing for US bar exams, Northeastern's LLM equips legal professionals to reach their aspirations. The On-Campus LLM delivers an intensive academic experience, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills while allowing students to tailor their studies to career objectives. Participants complete nine months of classroom learning, with eligible candidates having the option to extend their studies through a three-month cooperative placement. Both JD candidates and LLM students choosing the year-long program benefit from challenging coursework combined with Northeastern's distinctive Cooperative Legal Education initiative. Potential placements span law firms, corporate legal departments, judicial settings, public sector organizations, and nonprofit entities. With guidance from dedicated advisors, students can align cooperative experiences with their individual career paths.
