The JD/MS in Law and Public Policy (LPP) is an exclusive joint degree offered to Northeastern University School of Law students, preparing them with specialized expertise to address evolving policy challenges. This program enhances legal education by integrating practical training in policy evaluation, development, and implementation strategies. Participants acquire hands-on professional exposure through internships, collaborative capstone initiatives, and engagement with policy practitioners. These components collectively empower Northeastern's LPP graduates to effectively operate within and transform various policy sectors.

Prospective students are encouraged to apply for both the JD and MS in LPP concurrently. Successful applicants undertake the MS portion after finishing their first year of law school. Current JD candidates may also apply for the LPP program during their second or third year of law studies, subject to School of Law approval, with applications accepted in the Fall terms of those years.
