The human services program equips students for careers focused on societal transformation by offering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for professional work and research. Graduates utilize their expertise in counseling positions, nonprofit leadership, policy advocacy, or community and organizational growth initiatives. The curriculum fosters a comprehensive perspective on addressing social disparities through both preventive measures and responsive interventions, while teaching strategies for creating change at personal and systemic levels. Learners participate in an immersive educational experience that prioritizes hands-on learning via service projects, cooperative education, and field placements. Each student selects a concentration area aligned with their specific professional interests within the discipline.
