The combined major in human services and communication studies equips students for social change careers by offering both theoretical foundations and practical skills.
This interdisciplinary program bridges communication strategies with human services across multiple fields. Nonprofits rely on communication experts to accurately portray their mission to communities, collaborators, and donors. Similarly, communication competencies empower human services professionals advocating for meaningful policy reforms.

The human services program focuses on developing future change-makers through comprehensive theoretical and practical training. Participants gain a complete perspective on addressing social disparities through both preventive measures and interventions, learning to drive transformation at personal and systemic levels. The curriculum features hands-on learning experiences including service projects, cooperative education, and internships.
