This program fulfills the criteria for earning an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) with a specialization in Digital Art and Digital Photography. By completing this degree, you'll develop a professional portfolio in these fields while preparing for advanced studies in visual arts, including Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs with Studio Art or Art History focus, Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Art, or entering the creative industry with a strong portfolio.
Participants in this program will master Adobe applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, and After Effects. The curriculum focuses on developing expertise in photo manipulation, composition techniques, and fundamental design principles. Learners will also cultivate teamwork abilities and specialized knowledge in Digital Art and Digital Photography, while acquiring contemporary methods for evaluating and presenting their work. The Art department at North emphasizes the importance of studio safety and health awareness throughout the program.
