The Watch Technology AAS is a comprehensive 184-credit program designed to train future Watchmakers and Watch Repair Technicians. This full-time curriculum combines hands-on practice with theoretical knowledge, covering fundamental manual-wind watches, automatics, chronographs, and quartz mechanisms. The program also teaches essential skills in micromechanics, production techniques, case assembly, quality assurance, client relations, and surface restoration.
To earn the AAS degree, participants must complete 164 specialized Watch Technology credits alongside 20 general education credits (totaling 184 credits). The general education component includes courses in Business Writing, College English, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies. These foundational courses can be taken before, during, or after the Watch Technology coursework. North Seattle College evaluates transfer credits from other institutions, allowing students to potentially apply previous academic work toward their degree requirements.
