The Department of Psychology at North Dakota State University offers both Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Our Ph.D. programs equip students for diverse research-focused careers. The doctoral program typically enrolls around 20 students, with about four new Ph.D. graduates annually. The curriculum combines specialized coursework in the student's chosen field with methodological studies, breadth requirements, and guided research with faculty advisors. The program emphasizes teaching skills development at the college level and provides training in grant proposal writing.
