The Global Business program is available exclusively as a secondary major. This complementary specialization integrates international business education with language acquisition and overseas study opportunities, equipping students for leadership roles in tomorrow's diverse, multicultural global marketplace. By pursuing Global Business as a second major, business students amplify their professional capabilities, enhancing their primary specialization (such as accounting, business administration, finance, management, marketing, or management information systems). This dual-major approach enables students to cultivate technical expertise through their primary major while developing cross-cultural leadership skills and global business acumen through their secondary focus. The Global Business curriculum strengthens students' capacity to navigate international markets, deepens cultural understanding, and expands knowledge of worldwide business practices.

Finance majors master essential principles and analytical techniques for making data-driven, ethical financial decisions. The program teaches students to assess economic value, evaluate investment risks, guide corporate financing strategies, and analyze firm performance in capital markets. Our graduates secure positions across corporate, industrial, and nonprofit sectors. The College of Business at North Dakota State University holds prestigious AACSB International accreditation for both undergraduate and graduate programs, a distinction shared by only two business schools in North Dakota. This elite accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, earned by fewer than 10% of global business programs, signifies our commitment to academic excellence and continuous enhancement.

All business students complete foundational coursework spanning key operational areas like marketing, management, and accounting. Finance specialization courses expand on this base, exploring corporate financial operations within international markets. The curriculum includes corporate finance, global financial markets, investment analysis, and asset management strategies. Our finance program holds CFA Institute University Affiliation status, providing optimal preparation for earning the Chartered Financial Analyst designation—the gold standard in investment credentials. The program emphasizes practical learning through project-based assignments and team presentations, developing not just financial expertise but also collaborative skills, persuasive communication abilities, and leadership competencies.
