The Exercise Science (ES) major equips students for entry-level careers across four key health-fitness environments: commercial, community, corporate, and clinical settings. This program also serves as a foundation for outstanding students pursuing advanced studies in fields like exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, sports nutrition, sports medicine, biomechanics, or related health professions. The curriculum covers diverse topics ranging from analyzing physical activity and its physiological effects to mastering health-fitness business operations practiced globally. Students are advised to complement their studies with a business minor or another relevant discipline aligned with their career goals. Through multiple fieldwork courses and a culminating semester-long internship, the program enables students to specialize in their preferred area at various locations nationwide.
