Students pursuing the English education major gain the skills to teach Language Arts to grades 7-12 with innovative approaches and self-assurance. B.A. and B.S. in English Education These programs mandate 39 English credits beyond introductory composition plus 34 education credits. The B.A. requires working knowledge of a foreign language, usually achieved through 14 credit hours. The B.S. with communication emphasis needs 20 communication credits and provides dual certification in English and speech.
