The Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Science program holds accreditation from ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission at www.abet.org, boasting the highest student enrollment across the Dakotas. Department faculty, numerous with extensive industry and instructional backgrounds, provide substantial individual attention to students. Core elements of the undergraduate curriculum include fundamental sciences and mathematics, humanities and social sciences, communication skills, engineering principles, design and ethics education, plus comprehensive coverage across electrical and computer engineering disciplines.
Optical Engineering, collaboratively developed with the Physics Department, equips aspiring engineers in domains including quantum theory; coherent/incoherent and polarized/non-polarized light; geometric, physical, and Fourier optics; holography; along with image processing and acquisition techniques.
