The Financial concentration enhances the Statistics core curriculum by offering specialized electives focused on analyzing, interpreting, and comprehending financial data. This program is distinct from both the Masters in Financial Mathematics and Masters in Economics programs. Within the Master of Statistics program, students have multiple concentration options. Alongside the standard (non-concentration) Master of Statistics track, concentrations are offered in Biomedical Statistics, Environmental Statistics, Statistical Genetics, and Financial studies. The primary distinction between concentrations lies in their required coursework, particularly in elective selections. While students may opt for the Master of Science degree, currently few pursue this path as it mandates completing a Thesis.
