The Biostatistics concentration offers instruction in statistical techniques applicable to designing and evaluating research in medical fields, pharmaceutical development, and public health initiatives. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in clinical trial methodology and epidemiological research, while exploring modern statistical approaches for analyzing survival data, categorical information, and longitudinal datasets. Within the Master of Statistics program, learners can select from multiple specializations. Alongside the standard Master of Statistics track (without a concentration), options include Biomedical Statistics, Environmental Statistics, Statistical Genetics, and a Financial Statistics focus. These concentrations primarily differ in their mandatory curriculum, typically through elective selections. While students may opt for the Master of Science program, currently the majority pursue the non-thesis option. The Master of Science pathway mandates completion of a research thesis.
