Our institution provides advanced degree options in Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, and Marine Science. The marine science program encompasses specialized areas such as biological, chemical, geological, and physical oceanography. Prospective candidates for the M.S. or Ph.D. programs in Earth sciences must possess foundational knowledge in geology, along with one year of study in chemistry, physics, and calculus. We welcome applications from individuals holding degrees in adjacent disciplines like mathematics, engineering, chemistry, physics, and biology. Graduate curricula are customized according to each student's research focus, allowing adaptability to address any academic gaps. As an interdisciplinary geoscience department, MEAS promotes cross-disciplinary exploration, encouraging students to take courses outside their primary concentration, both within our program and throughout the University.
