The Physiology Graduate Program is an interdisciplinary initiative that brings together faculty from various university departments. Earning an advanced degree in Physiology is widely respected in the scientific field and opens doors to careers in academic research and teaching, as well as opportunities in industrial and governmental labs, public policy, and consulting. Students conduct research using diverse model organisms, including laboratory animals, pets, and agriculturally significant species.

This program offers a non-thesis Pre-Health Master's Degree designed for students aiming to strengthen their academic profile and enhance their competitiveness for professional school admissions (such as Medicine (MD & DO), Dentistry, Nursing, Optometry, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, and Veterinary Medicine). Some graduates use this degree as a final qualification to pursue careers in Athletic Training or other Physiology-related fields.

The Non-Thesis Master's option enables students to deepen their understanding of contemporary physiology without mandatory research or formal thesis requirements. However, participants may still engage in research if desired, as this experience can strengthen their applications for professional programs.
