The MIMSE program equips students with the knowledge to comprehend and apply contemporary manufacturing technologies. This interdisciplinary curriculum draws courses from multiple departments, offering adaptable study plans tailored to individual goals and interests.
Two key aspects distinguish our program: mandatory internship placements, typically with industrial firms, and extensive course selection freedom within the degree requirements. This adaptable structure enables students to shape their education for diverse internship opportunities. Most full-time students complete 3-4 courses per semester during their initial year, undertake a 7-8 month intensive internship, then return for a final semester involving a six-credit project based on their internship and additional coursework.
A standard academic path for August entrants involves two semesters of classes, a May-December cooperative education placement, and a concluding campus semester.
