We accept applicants from diverse age groups and professional backgrounds. Our student body has encompassed legal professionals and adjudicators alongside language specialists and labor advocates, fresh graduates as well as former government officials. Although the majority complete their master's degree within two years, some choose part-time study to maintain employment, balance family obligations with academics, or progress through graduate studies at a comfortable pace. The maximum completion time for all students is six years.
Alumni have advanced to prestigious doctoral programs including UC-Berkeley, UCLA, Carnegie-Mellon, William & Mary, Columbia, Duke, Emory, George Washington, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, UNC-Chapel Hill, Pennsylvania, Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Yale. Others pursue varied careers, some directly history-related and others in fields like legal practice, finance, construction, athletic training, advertising, and editorial work. Historical studies cultivate critical reading and effective writing abilities - transferable skills valued across numerous professions.
