Functional data analysis (FDA) is a statistical field specializing in examining, interpreting, and visualizing information that varies continuously, like mathematical functions or curves. With modern technological progress enabling high-frequency data collection, there's been a surge in functional datasets and related analytical techniques. The FDA team focuses on creating, implementing, and disseminating functional data approaches both within NC State and to external communities.

Qualification Requirements

An online application form. This includes contact information, previous degrees, etc.
A transcript from each postsecondary institution. One unofficial transcript from each institution should be submitted online. If accepted and enrolled, official transcripts will be required later.

GRE scores from the general and subject tests are not required for admission to the Statistics Graduate Programs including both master and PhD programs.
