Plants are essential for maintaining life on our planet, ranging from tiny algae to massive sequoias. By researching these organisms, plant scientists contribute significantly to improving food production, protecting our environment, and discovering diverse plant applications. The Plant Biology undergraduate program offers a strong foundation in natural sciences while allowing students to customize their coursework based on personal interests. Learners can opt for a broad curriculum covering various Plant Biology topics or focus on specialized tracks such as Ethnobotany, Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, or Plant Ecology and Conservation. Many courses incorporate practical lab work and field studies, giving students valuable hands-on learning opportunities.
