Civil Engineering focuses on enhancing and maintaining both constructed and natural environments, involving the planning, design, construction, operation, and upkeep of structures like buildings, dams, bridges, ports, power plants, pollution control systems, water supply networks, and transportation infrastructure. The Civil Engineering program offers several specializations: Structural engineering – Covers the planning, design, and management of buildings, bridges, and specialized structures such as towers, cranes, stadiums, industrial facilities, and construction materials. Transportation engineering – Involves the planning, design, and operation of roadways, airports, seaports, public transit systems, traffic management solutions, and material transportation networks. Geotechnical engineering – Focuses on designing and planning foundations, dams, tunnels, road bases, and other projects where soil and rock serve as key engineering materials. Water resources & environmental engineering – Deals with planning, designing, and overseeing water supply systems, wastewater treatment, flood prevention, urban drainage, pollution mitigation, groundwater and surface water quality management, as well as solid and hazardous waste disposal.
Freshman applicants must submit an official high school transcript (academic record)
IELTS Academic: 6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.5 in each sub score)
TOEFL IBT: 85 or higher (minimum of 18 in each sub score)
PTE Academic: 62 or higher (minimum of 53 in each sub score)
English Composition I and II from an accredited U.S. College or University: Grade of C or higher
