Finance serves as the foundation for all businesses across every sector. When an entrepreneur starts a new venture or expands an established one, when a company introduces a new product or an investment manager assesses opportunities, financial principles offer the means to analyze these choices. Broadly speaking, finance creates the structure for comprehending how companies, financial institutions, and individual investors allocate and utilize capital. As business environments grow increasingly intricate, the methods for making sound financial choices gain greater significance.
The finance curriculum covers subjects including corporate financial analysis, investment strategies and portfolio oversight, capital markets and financial institutions, business and project assessment, risk mitigation, personal wealth management, and global finance. You'll explore questions such as: What methods determine a company's worth during acquisition evaluations? How do investment professionals construct portfolios that balance risk and reward? What strategies do global corporations employ to handle currency fluctuations? How are derivative instruments priced, and how can they be used for risk management or investment speculation? The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program emphasizes fundamental business operations with six specialization options. Students gain knowledge in finance, marketing, strategic planning, information systems, legal aspects, operations, and personnel management. Additionally, they complete a four-course specialization in Finance, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management. This prepares graduates for diverse career paths in commercial and industrial settings, spanning banking and financial services, production, innovation, talent management, technology leadership, and business intelligence.
