Educators play a significant role in shaping individuals' social growth, personal maturity, and cognitive abilities. Their impact originates from a passion for knowledge, an ability to inspire innovative perspectives, insights into human growth patterns, and specialized expertise. Typical teaching responsibilities encompass: designing curricula, delivering lessons, communicating with families and school leaders, and staying current with educational advancements. TED program participants complete 31 credits of specialized instruction alongside an 18-credit English foundation and 21-credit concentration. The concentration comprises five literature classes and two flexible English options. Enrollment necessitates approval from both the English Department and Education College. Prospective candidates must submit official applications for both Teacher Education status and the Professional Semester. Graduates qualify for North Carolina secondary school English teaching credentials.
